Privacy Policy

This website is the personal portfolio of Abdul Wadood. It is built to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains exactly what is collected, why, and what happens to it.

What data is collected

Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form, the site processes the name, email address, optional subject, and message you provide. That's the only information the form collects.

Browsing. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics scripts. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored locally in your own browser via localStorage and never leaves your device. The hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and request path) for security and operational purposes, as any web host does.

Spam protection. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which loads on the contact page and evaluates whether a submission is automated. Its use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. reCAPTCHA runs only on the contact page — not across the rest of the site.

How your message is used

Contact form submissions are delivered by email through Resend, an email delivery service. Your message is sent to contact@abdulwadood.com, and a confirmation copy is sent to the email address you provided. Your details are used solely to read and reply to your message — never for marketing lists, never sold, never shared beyond the delivery service that transports the email.

Data retention

Correspondence lives in a normal email inbox for as long as it is useful for our conversation. If you want your messages deleted, ask — see below.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the correspondence you've sent, ask for corrections, or ask for it to be deleted at any time. Email contact@abdulwadood.com and it will be handled promptly.

Pages on this site link to external services such as GitHub, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X. Those sites have their own privacy practices; this policy does not cover them.

Changes

If the site ever starts collecting anything beyond what is described here — for example, adding analytics — this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
